Some idiot backed into my car in the parking lot and messed up my front bumper (just the cover). She will pay to have it replaced.... before I run out and ask my mechanic, about how much should it cost to get a replacement (painted)? I can put it on myself if necessary.

 

$800-$900, painted right by a Good body shop

The bumper will cost you $200 - $300. The paint job another $300 - $400. If you went to the junk yard you may get it cheaper.

I wouldnt recommend an aftermarket bumper unless you want something different in styling.
