00 vi is better in every way except for the silly power valve problem.

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY, i was lookin all over for the 300zx conversion one. thanx a million +1.

p.s guys
there is a 2000 max still at the local yard and it has the VI intake in it, all i would like to know is what exactly do i have to take off of the car, what is needed for instalation , and what is a decent price i should expect to pay.

if i remember correctly, the difference between the Mevi and 2kvim is that the 2k gives you the benefits of the mevi (extended power band after xxxx rpms) and it doesnt add the noticebly poorer low/mid performance the mevi has. let me know if im wrong guys, id h8 to spread bad info.

IM = Intake Manifold

Before you do anything, you should realize he's being sarcastic and you shouldn't put a 3rd gen IM on your 4th gen engine.

im pretty sure the 3rd gen manifold isnt going to bolt up to our engine. its either 2000-2001 manifold or the MEVI.

i understand that the 00vi makes more lowend/mid power then the mevi.....but if ur racing(wot) wouldn't u want the highend power(mevi) since thats were ur gonna be most of the time? 4,000rpm and up

isnt the MEVI smaller with the valves cloes than the stock intake manifold,(Which creates the power loss)...so it the 2000MI the same size as the stock manifold(or 4th gen manifold) when the valve is closed?

I have a friend you is currently doing this mod..I keep asking him how he is gonna control it, but I havent gotten a straight answer. HOw do you control it when it opens and closes?
