which wheels to get, any input

Hi guys, I have a 99SE white. Factory size is 16''. I was thinking about going to either 18'' or 19''. Does either size rub anywhere? And question #2, Are there any other wheel websites other than Tirerack that are good and may have different styles that tirerack doesn't have, and also like Tirerack, lets you picture your car and color so you can see what they will look like?
I like kind of like the Moda R6, in 19'' looks pretty sweet. I was also thinking about going with maybe a grey colored rim just to have more of a contrast with white. Many suggestions are encouraged.

Are you lowered? If not, get lowered first, if not you'll look like your going off roading. As for rubbing, it wont even if your lowered as long as you have the correct tire size.

Do what everyone else here does and get some Evos in 19's, they look pretty good but then again who wants to look like everyone else? Thats why when it comes down to it, its your choice...

If it was me, I'd get 18's in gunmetal with a polished lip to match my carbon fiber hood.

No, I'm not lowered, does that matter? I would think that bigger wheels and tires should fill any large gap.And I use snow tires on the factory rims for the winter. I wouldn't want any lowering to interfere with my winter handling. Where does one go to get lowered? And what is the cost of this job?
Thanks
Jeff

When you get a larger wheel size, you get a tire that has a smaller sidewall on it so the overall tire+wheel diameter stays the same as stock. It has to stay the same or your speedometer would get all messed up. So basically, with new wheels, you will still have the same gap in the wheel well that you had before. It doesn't look too awful now, but once you get bigger wheels on there, especially 19s, it will look like a Jeep. Lower the car first, then get wheels. Check here and here for lowering springs and shocks and where to buy them and prices, or check here for more expensive, better performing, all-in-one coilovers.

As for wheels, I like the ADR SZ1 which is unfortunately discontinued (found out two days ago when I tried to buy some) and the HP Racing Evo Lightnings, which I am currently trying to buy.

You can look at all the maximas on http://www.cardomain.com/ and find some wheels you like. Its the first thing people will see when they look at your car and the biggest expression of your personal style, so pick what you like.

If you dont lower it, this is whats going to happen
18's

20's

And if you decide to use larger tires to fill in the gap, your speedo and odometer will be wayyyy off... but thats on you, I know some people who have done it. Nothing against you but if you do either of the above... oh man

Lowering it, you can get springs and struts... there are various.. search the stickies on top of the 4th gen forums and read them. This was my car when I had my 17's lowered on B&G springs

And thanks... the 3rd brake light I bought off a fellow org member, I dont know the website to where it is sold at though... sorry

only thing i thought about is that rims are one of the most individual mods you can make to a car, so id go with something youve never seen before.
