I got neons

I got them off of Ebay. Ebay always has good deals.

Two 8" sticks.

They draw their power source from the battery, then connects to a small "brain" that can turn the neons off/on all the time/flash to the music. And it's grounded to a spot near the kickpanels. And I have the neons in the back under the front seats shining back into the foot wells of the back seats.

And I'm planning on putting 15" blacklights in the front footwells once I get some switches in.

Neons

I have a black neon tube in my back window, it illuminates the whole ceiling.... Pretty dope. I found that in the cluster of wires that runs to the tail lights, there is a ground in there and a green with white stripe wire in there that I hooked it up to. That way it switches of and on with my lights. Another bonus about it is, when I put my car in reverse it kills the light!!! Email me if you want to know which wires they are exactly... I got my neon at Pep Boys... Hope this helps...

Re: I got neons

So what do you mean it comes on and off with the music? Is it with the bass hits it comes on? Cause I have those and would like to know what it is hooked up to..

thanx

Re: Re: I got neons

Yeah, it responds to sound, so I pump up the bass a little and it flashes to the bass.

I just taped it on the kickpanel.

It looks like this:

power -------|flash |-------- neon power
ground -------|module|-------- neon ground

I've got neons too It's pretty easy to setup, and I just put a switch between my neons and the fuse I tapped into. I prefer to only run them at night so I can make them last longer. My biggest problem has been mounting them. I didn't want to drill so I used zip ties and double back sticky + carpet tape, but the heat here melts the tape off I'm sure I'll figure something good out eventually. If you need any help I can help you dmbrazillian. I may need some stereo help sometime

Hey xhypex have you checked out my thread on the midwest/tx about the custom trunk work? Well I'm trying to set up a meet for either this thursday night or this weekend for some custom trunk and stereo ideas....you should come, that way I can check out your neons and I can help you out on any stereo stuff you have, let me know.
