http://maxmods.dyndns.org/index.php?MaximaMufflers

or just go back through the thousands of posts here to read reviews... and for your question about which dynomax to order:

Part 17747 (2 1/4") or 17748 (2 1/2") $43 from http://www.summitracing.com

get the 2.5"

a lot of people have it... go back a few pages, you will find some threads on it... i have yet to hear one bad comment on it honestly.

Alright, I believe that all my questions have been answered. I'm going to leave you alone now and stop haunting you. I will get a custom aluminized b-pipe and resonator from lssexhaust and a Dynomax Super Turbo muffler from Summitracing.com, nice chrome tip from there too? y-pipe I don't think I'll need. Thanks

are you wanting interchangability from your muffler/rear section?

y-pipe will give you the most gain though... roughly double your exhaust...

Alright, you got me going again, I was willing to let it go, but no, you had to get me started again So you are saying get a y-pipe also say from custommaxima.com? And what are you talking about interchangability? And double my exhaust? I don't want anything loud, just a nice low tone. Isn't what I'm getting going to give me that?

oh, sorry i confused you...

the y-pipe will give you like 12-15hp... where the exhaust will give you 8hp or so... give or take on the numbers a bit...

for the price $250 for the CM y-pipe you get a good amount of power...

interchangability, i.e. do you want to swap out your mufflers?

an lss b-pipe has flanges on it to bolt to your cat, and to bolt to a rear section. you are only buying a muffler, so you can get a rear section made out of that to bolt to your b-pipe, or weld it to the flange and render the flange useless...

since you are getting alumidized, i wouldn't pay for an aftermarket b-pipe... i'd just get one made and ran all the way to the muffler... if you buy a b-pipe, then you still have to add more to that to connect it, see? why spend the extra money on the lss pipe and still not have a complete pipe ran? just get one made out of the same material all the way back...

whatever you get and bring to a shop they will make it work, so you'll be fine either way... i think you'd spend more money buying an aftermarket b-pipe over getting one made...

an lss b-pipe has flanges on it to be bolted up... so you will be able to change your muffler/rear section out... if you get one and bolt it up with a flange on the end then you will have to weld the rear section to it, or get a flange welded on and bolt it to it...

see?

Okay, I don't need a y-pipe. I don't need that much more power, it'll only get me into trouble. So if I decide to have a shop make me a b-pipe out of aluminized steel, I will need to get a resonator? The lss b-pipe is $260 canadian. What kind of shop will make a b-pipe? Certainly not a Meineke or Midas or something right? Hey, I have an idea, why don't you drive your a$$ up here from Florida to New England and take my car and do it for me!! And at the same time, see some snow!!!

And interchangability I don't want, whatever muffler I get ( Dynomax ) will be the one that stays on the car until it rots off!

yeah, you're better off just taking the dynomax to the shop and say i want a 2.5" alumidized resonated b-pipe ran from the cat (bolted to the cat with a flange so i can take it off if i want) to this...

they will get it right for you...

i want you to ask the shop how long alumidized will last in the snow... we haven't seen snow here in like 12 years so alumidized works for me... i just don't want you to get it, and it fall off in 2-3 years you know?

if you can be ok with how long they tell you it's going to last then go for it... but you may need to step up to stainles...

honestly, i would do it right the first time... i have wasted so much money on my car... if you want stainless... just get an sp2, you'll be happy...

but if you go for alumidized then it's cheap enough to play around with...

you could probably get the shop to make the whole thing custom like i said in the last post in stainless instead of alumized...

you just have to figure how long it will last, and how much you want to pay... good luck to you...

Thanks again, I will ask if they can do it in stainless because we got 6"" of snow yesterday and winters around here are pretty rough on your car. I will find a good exhaust shop. What's an sp2?

Okay, I will look around to find a shop that will custom make a ss b-pipe and resonator, and get my Dynomax muffler. Do they make the Dynos stainless? Or am I back at square 1 with the muffler?

Hey, check out www.car-risma.com it's a place near me. They seem to have ss mufflers by Dynomax, but not spr turbo, they have ultraflow.
