Wire Harness upgrade?

Has anyone bought the wire harness upgrade somewhere else besides Ebay?I found a set on Ebay but the seller doesn't have a good history....I have some 80/100 on my stock harness and don't wanna fry them.And has anyone tried to cut the negative and run it str8 to the battery?I heard that was the cheap way around the upgrade.

Just do the grounding kit, save yourself the hassle.
