Radiator Install

Radiator Install

Does anyone have a write-up on how to replace the radiator, didn't see it in the how to's. I have a haynes book but I was looking for a write up from first hand experience. (Pics too if possibe)

automatic or manual? its pretty much the same anyways...I suggest you go to pep boys or your local autozone and pick up a Haynes Manual.

Basically...wait for motor to cool, drain radiator...if there isn't already a hole in it..

undo the retainers on top 2 8mm nuts if I remember correctly, undo clamps and hoses coming from engine, transmission (if auto)..make sure you clamp that one...so you don't lose all your tranny fluid. Unplug fans...remove radiatior with fans...uninstall fans from old radiator and re-install on new radiator...now reverse the whole thing...then fill radiator with correct mixture of antifreeze and H20...start car...ensure no leaks...bling
