$800 won't do that...otherwise that'd be what I would do...

I'd say save another $500 or so and go for the manual swap, you won't be sorry...

If $800 will buy a '00VI, I'd say give that a shot otherwise.

problem with 5spd swap for me is I'm cali spec...so finding a 99 cali spec 5spd ECU is going to be tricky...

depends on what your looking to mod. this is what i think:

exterior-
projectors w/hids and cold cathode angel eyes (black shrouds on your color car looks sick- just ask geo)
carbon fiber hood - leave it natural carbon color and tint your corners and finish aeing your headlights and it would look sick since your wheels are also black.

interior-
katskinz leather, dont just go with black if you're gonna take it to more shows id do a more custom theme like black and silver.
brushed aluminum dash kit.
chrome guage rings

performance and handling-
mevi doubled with ecu
resonated b pipe
underdrive pully
rear sway bar
or talk to tilly about that bottom end swap he does

so you gotta decide if you want to go all into one area or space it out. you probably have the most potential of mods in performance since you dont have to much done there right now. if i were you i would get the leather seat covers first then probaby the mevi if you can find a good buy on it. if you cant get the leather and the mevi then id say scrap the mevi and get an underdrive pulley, bpipe, and rsb. but remember, any performance mod is worthless unless your car is in proper running order; so if its not this would be a good time to get the bugs out.

What prodigy said !

I would go with either two tone leather inside which is just enough or projectors and a carbon fiber hood..

some suggestions are just dumb...

He has a full kit already. He also has a 99 cali spec, therefore ECU is out of the question, so the MEVI should be too. Come on guys, lets think.

Too bad the Group Deal on the D2's is over(or at least I'm pretty sure it is)...those would be sweet to have. What about a rear sway bar and subframe connecters? Thats the first thing I'm doing when I get my car back.

headers.....Since your a 1999 Calispec like me. You still have an extra Pre Cat granted you have installed a Y pipe. if you get the Cattman headers or hotshot headers you will get a decent gain in power.

Nitrous and a VB upgrade.

Any more appearance upgrades are for ricers. Looks good the way it is.

i say either save up and do the 5-speed swap or do a retrofit (maybe even with some cefiros), or you could go with a system.

Alright, I have an idea.

While you're saving up for the 5spd swap, look around relentlessly for a 99 cali spec 5spd ECU, and by the time you find it, you'll probably have enough saved for the 5spd swap!

Looks like you got everything you can want on that sleek Max of yours. Maybe change your rims and get different ones, perhaps go bigger. Or go for headers, I don't know what brands to recommend if there are any but I have seen some members have them. Or if you definitely want more go, get a turbo setup. BTW, seeing that you have AE'd out the headlights, how about smoking the clearance (corner) and bumper lenses? I think that would look dope. Then move in the rears and smoke the tails if you haven't done so.

5spd swap, or bottom end with 00vi (if you can find the parts, Tilley can help you).

Driving behind and watching a manual RSX Type-S With I/E and more unknown mods get smoked by an Automagic hybrid was freaking awesome. **erhemm** japmax *erhemm** lol

Not to mention that his tranny has no 1st and 2nd gear.

Anything power orientated. A 00vi, manual trans swap, maybe some nitrous. Or a hybrid 3.5
