My airbag light is flashing. i did wat it said in the FAQs, but within a couple of startups the light started flashing again. i know i probably have to take the car to the stealership, but i was wondering what the light actually means... will the airbag not deploy if a collision occurs?

 

The same thing happened to my parents' Subaru. It wasn't anything serious in their case, the light was just reset. The mechanic said that it does mean the airbag won't go off in an accident. I haven't encountered this in my Maxima but I'm sure the light means the same thing as in the Subaru, so I'd get it checked out just to be safe.

i got the same problem too...got it scanned at my dad's shop, said malfuction airbag module...i dont know what it is...lol..probably won't work anymore. Bestbuy installed my system and that happened....and they said they weren't responsible for that...i m like wtf...this happened during march..got it reset twice..back back a few months...going to scan it again and see what is says..

 

when getting airbag light flashing, you want to do what the sticky said... when pressing 5-7 times...press 7 times quickly


you should be all set.
