Water in Trunk
This sort of thing seems to be a problem with a lot of Nissans (my taillights on my 88 sentra filled with water all the time, and the trunk of my dad's 92 sentra always has water in it.) Don't know how to fix it, but I just pulled the plugs out from under the spare tire so whatever water got in could drain out. Not the best solution, but I could never find how the water would get in the lights or the trunk...
Most likely this issue are with people that have spoilers. I had the problem too. What you do is go buy a sealant lubricant at the auto store and unscrew the spoiler and apply the lubricant and screw it back in. You will need another person to assist with holding the spoiler. I have no problem with water now. If you do have water getting in, there is a draining plug at the bottom of the spare tire wheel-well. I hope this helps.

Whenever I open my truck after it rains, all this water runs into my truck. It looks like it's coming from the left hand tail light. It's quite frustrating!!

- A defect in the rubber seal at the edge of the rear window.
- A defect in the rubber weatherstripping between the trunk lid and the car body.
- A defect in the seal around the taillights.
You may perform your own diagnosis. This requires an assistant, a garden hose, a flashlight, and a roll of duct tape.
1) Remove all cargo from the trunk. Dry it out as best you can.
2) Use duct tape to cover the periphery of the rear window.
3) One person (the "inside man") climbs into the trunk. Close the trunk.
4) The other person (the "outside man") plays a stream of water onto the taillights. With the aid of the flashlight, the inside man watches for any sign of water infiltration. Two minutes should suffice.
5) The outside man plays the stream of water all over the trunk lid. The duct tape serves to ward off any infiltration past a defect in the window glass seal. The inside man watches. Two minutes should suffice.
6) The outside man peels off the duct tape and then plays the stream of water all over the rear window. The inside man watches. Two minutes should suffice.
When you discover the source of the leak use a sealant and/or replacement weatherstripping to eliminate it.
