Hard Starting. Not the Starter
The blue maxima has been starting hard it takes several seconds of cranking to start. So, while my car is sitting around not driveable, I decided to put my starter in the blue maxima. My starter is fine and starts my car right away. Now with my starter in the blue car, it still starts the same, several seconds of cranking before it starts. I don't think it's the battery, because it is an optima yellow top. I checked the throttle body while I was at it and that was spotless. The only code the car is throwing is rear O2 sensor. I have no clue what could be wrong?
I thought I messed up the car while replacing the starter though. The car started and would not rev, it kept bogging. I finally realized I left the maf sensor unplugged. I find it amazing how much better the car is running now that it has a new knock sensor and premium instead of 87 in it, it 's like a whole new car.
Does anyone have a link on how to regrease the starter? I might as well do that too while I have one of the starters still out of the car. I could really use some advise on why the car is struggling to start too.

if its not the starter then no need to regreese it espeically since u tried it in the other max and it cranked fine.
it could be your crankshaft position sensor (REF or POS) one of them (cant remember off the top of my head) determins top dead center of the pistons and if the sensor is acting up it can cause longer than normal starts.
some have unplugged the sensor to fine metal shaving on them, clean off and eliminate the ptoblem. the sensors (one) front of the block (two) down by the oil filter. I think REF is the one on the front of the block by the spark plugs, and POS is by the oil filter.

deep cycle batterys are not good for cars. they are for marine. but check your battery anyway. do not ASSUME anything with your battery. your just going to make more headaches for your self. battery is the heart of the starter and ignition.

i heard it might be that the fuel isnt flowing enough to spark or somethin like that. you might be able to just turn the battery on for a second and then start it. someone told me that havnt tried tho

its a bad pic but right behind that black hose, is where one of them is located ( ignore that red arrow to, its pointing to the thermostat)
the other one is to the right of the oil filter, directly to the right you'll see a sensor there. trying to find pics. . .

yes I mean the sensor above the arrow, I posted that pic as its a good angle of where the sensor it but the A/C line was block it but it should help in giving you a sense of where it is.

I checked the top sensor in the pic that MDeedy posted. The sensor had a little bit of oil on it so I wiped it off and it didn't help it start any better.
I put the battery from my car in, in place of the Optima and the car barely started. It was alot worse. So I put the optima back in and the car started like it usually does several seconds before the engine starts.
I tried to figure out which sensor is the other one by the oil filter, but there are two sensors there so I don't know which one is which. I pulled off this sensor and it doesn't go into the motor, it appears it is just bolted on the side.
I didn't take this one out because I'm not sure if oil will come out when I take it out.
Which one of these two sensors is the other crankshaft postition sensor?
Any more ideas as to what might be wrong?

Ok, the rear o2 sensor came in, so I replaced that. Of course it didnt help the starting problem, but I wasn't expecting it to. I checked the codes before I cleared CE light. I got maf and right heated o2, rear o2. The maf is there b/c i started the car with the maf unplugged the other day. I'm not sure about the right heated o2 though, maybe it was triggered by another code? Originally the car had only rear o2 and knock sensor codes, both those sensors are replaced.
Can anyone tell me what those two sensors are in the pics I posted above?
