i have the same exact set up and it sounds really good to me. i think some of the rumors can be attributed to bad installations or leaks of some sort. if i ever hear some bees under my car its coming out immediatley, but for right now im still o.k. my actual install date was 2/2002 and only once i had to change a gasket cause it started leaking. im due for a new one soon and plan on going with a 3 in with headers version not sure if it will be stillen or someone else yet.

I have the Stillen ceramic coated y-pipe and Apexi catback exhaust. No bees in the can sound for me. I've had them on for over a year now.

i have no hissing sound, actually no sound at all. I paired it with the stillen cat back, stock cat, unresonated b pipe. sounds really nice.

sweet deal. i always wondered why the older pipes made that noise? its so wierd its like supercharged/turbocharged but its obviously not. IDK no one has ever came up with a logical reason as to what that noise is. some say intake (its not!!) most say Y pipe but what kind?? hiss hiss hiss

If I were doing it over again, I wouldn't get the ceramic pipe. It's ceramic coated mild steel, and when the ceramic wears away, it will rust.

I'd probably go with an SS mandrel from Budget or some other such place.

I have attributed that hissing sound to the midpipe bieng that it never made that sound just when I hacked the box. After i put teh midpipe on i heard that hissing sound but it was not that loud.
