1st Performance Mods-Taking steps help

Went ahead and ordered the Ypipe and headers today. Seems with all the searching that the y pipes pull pretty much the same numbers all the way across the board. Looking at certain ys it was gonna run right about what i paid for the headers and y pipe. figure for a full stainless setup for 320 shipped what the hell now i have to work on a catback. Curious as to the quality of the obx? any input? looking to spend in the neighborhood of 250. thx

going with an injen knockoff intake, have a couple ideas from there. im on the wagon baby

stock intake system is real good, if you want some engine bay noise then an intake will be nice and of course shinny depending on what you do with, jwt popcharger and a plain midpipe is really good, but they are all about the same. so you got a ypipe right instead of headers ? good performance move y pipe is right there with the headers but you do miss out on the exhaust note. slap on some lightweight rims that weigh less than what you have on the car at present, you can save money but just getting 16 inch rims and using your present tires, and of course the ecu upgrade. good luck and have fun with the mods bro !

So you ordered the stone racing headers? There isn't a single person on the ORG who said one good thing about them, everyone who's tried them hates them, and you still went for it? Or did you get the cattman headers? I'm lost.

I have a OBX catback system on mines. It's pretty good. I have one w/ silencer. Ironically, I was able to get it for $250. I would say just shop around and definitely check here because the members usually sell their products. I may be selling mines within the next month or so. But there are some better catback systems, which I may get later on. Or just get a b pipe w/ another exhaust for the spring. But you have a good start already. Good luck w/ your mods.

DaveYeah,i got the ss headers and y pipe. I figure its a stainless system, and i got the whole setup for 290. ive noted that there was a lot of people arguing on all of the stuff so its real hard for someone without the search function to get a straight answer plus I couldnt find anyone that had em. I figure for the price it cant be worse than stock manis. hopefully at least the front one will look good at shows lol

Caesar, I have a set of 16s for when i run it, those are the daily rims. I pretty much dont mind swapping out, but i cant be on 16s for day to day operations lol. i am looking at the ts ecu upgrade, soon as i get ahold of another ecu. since the intake seemed to be useless i bought the knockoff and will be getting it powdercoated. shrug at least it looks nice.

Maxed let me know if you do. I dont plan on keeping their muffler, its a lil over the size barrier for what we can run here. mainly looking for the full piping and figure i can sell the muffler locally and pick up anoother stock looking one about the same amount, but the canister and dragger styles are a quick 85 dollar ticket here
