in my 98 i30 there a little push out storage compartment below the stero, my question is, is this the same as a DIN sized unit?

yes it is, and if youre finding out if you can mount a single din stereo in it and put a 7" monitor in where your stock stereo is, YES YOU CAN once you take your center dash out and see what it looks like behind there you'll understand how it works. -Ryan

hmm actually i was wondering about gauges but now that you mention it that moniter does sound tempting.........tempting but expensive
