In Car Laptop?

i was thinking of putting in either a 7" monitor in my car and then thought about putting my old laptop computer in. i like this idea much better. its pretty small looks like it might fit in the glovebox but have no idea how to install it. maybe in the back in the armrest? maybe behind one of the seats? maybe it just wont work?
anyone ever tried or have pics of any cars w/ laptops ?
any suggestions at all??
thanks

I've got a laptop in my car...it's not mounted, but there whenever I need it. My work pays for my wireless air card, so I can surf on the go!
Great for road trips.

Just curious why you'd want a laptop in the car? Do you have a wireless DSL card? I have the old Sprint card which does maybe 2-3X dial-up, not even worth booting up! All kidding aside, I can't get any work done with a laptop anyway, rather do it in the office or home over Net6. Only thing my laptop is good for is the softphone when I'm in a hotel. I've heard never do VoIP over a VPN, but lemme tell you, it totally rocks Avaya/Net6/G.729/USB headset Road Warrior mode. For Europe, China, and Russia though I use the calling card.

I've given the thing the same thought, and I can't see the laptop thing working out. Sure, you'd have a bigger screen, but I think you'd do better to just install a carputer if you can scrape up the money. My plan is to put a 7" LCD in the dash, a USB2.0 external DVD-ROM where that cubby hole in the dash is, a computer in a custom made nano-ITX form factor under the driver's seat, bluetooth keyboard on the sunvisor, and a bluetooth mouse on/around the center console. I think this method would work out a lot better for MP3, WMA, CD, DVD, DivX, GPS, wireless internet for email checking only, possibly some lightweight games for passengers on road trips, etc.

I like to pretend I'm not a geek, but when I see this kind of stuff and completely understand it, I know I'm just kidding myself.
