No, it doesn't sound like a Honda. It has a deep, mellow V8 tone. Besides, a 3.0L V6 isn't gonna sound like a 1.5L I4 much.

Stillen Exhaust is phat....

I think that the Stillen Exhaust sounds really nice. However, I have not heard just it alone. I have only heard mine, which was when I did ypipe, cat, bpipe, and exhaust. That setup is considered the loudest, I think. Its not that loud though; I like it very much. Its not too loud, but with windows down and no stereo on, its pretty loud at WOT.

It definitely wont sound like a honda. If it did, I would have taken it off...hehe

The Stillen exhaust doesnt have the tin can sound to it then. Because I love the sound of the stock exhaust, but I want to upgrade the y-pipe and maybe the muffler and I was also worried if that would give it a horrible exhaust note.

If you're gonna get a Y-pipe, then you should keep the stock muffler. A free-flow muffler along with the Y-pipe would be pretty loud. The best setup for the most amount of power with the least amount of sound is intake, Y-pipe, RT cat, B-pipe, stock exhaust. You'll lose a few horsepower with the stock muffler, but you'll still gain a bunch from the other mods. Plus, the car will be as quiet as stock during part-throttle driving.

I heard that having a performance exhaust will decrease low end power and add high end power. My question is that will only having the muffler rear section cause it to loose low end, or is that with having a full cat back?

I don't recall seeing any dyno charts for the Maxima comparing various exhaust systems. I think there's just a lot of speculation about what aftermarket exhausts do for the Maxima.
