The previous owner had the fuel injectores replaced, could that be it? Also both times the engine was cold and it was in the 40s outside?

I'm getting this more and more lately...

though in my case, i'm getting hestiation all through the rpm range... like on a road trip last friday, I was in 5th and keeping a normal pace... highway limit... anyway, my car would start getting jerky on power... at times it felt like i had no power, but the car would still have a bit... i'd gun it harder to compensate.

at theat point, if i would have placed my foot on the clutch, and let go of the gas, my car would have stalled...

any ideas on this problem?

:-/

my car does the same thing...on a cold start will rev to 1.5-2k, then drop and die. i have to tap the gas 2-3x as it drops to keep it at 1.5k, then it'll idle nicely..

DO NOT put any additives to your engine. thats what almost killed my engine. it cost me 3 grand worth of new parts and labor

yo my coolant fluid is low and i think i need to flush my radiator fluid. Do u think that would fix the startup problem? Also lately I have been getting this check engine soon on my display. Do u think the coolant fluid is the prob? I dont have an obdii diagnositcs thing and dont wanna take it to the manufacturer.

I was having this problem but fixed it by cleaning the throttle body...following these instructions: http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/517 However, now my throttle sticks at the rpm i release the clutch at for a second or two between shifts now...does anyone know what is causing this problem?

OKAY I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM AS EVERYONE ELSE....When it was really cold outside and the first start of the day, my car would die after startup unless I kept the engine reving to warm it up. I took it to mechanics and they said the diagnostic showed a bad crank sensor. Got it fixed and still happend to me. My dad cleaned the throttle body and added a higher octaine to my gas, because I use to use Chevron but I live in California and the gas has gotten extremly high so I started going to Arco and places that were cheap. Ever since he cleaned the throttle and added a higher octaine to my gas tank I have had no problems since. With the crank sensor I think that just was another problem happening around the same time. After I got that replaced I noticed my steering is soo tight and turns great!
