Washer fluid light is ON

My washer fluid light went on and I filled the canister with more but now the light goes on ans stays on for a little while then goes off and back on...

What's going on?

Thanks!

Rusty.

didnt fill it enough or the hose is leaking. check under the wheel trim for the bottle and see if the hose is leaking from there.

I don't think I have a light for that, but most of those are just sensors that sit in the tank. The sensor could be coverd in grime and just need to be cleaned off.

All 4th gens had it as an option. The light and wiring is there, you would just have to add the sensor if you wanted it. It's about $15-20 at the dealership. Here's a how-to: http://www.cardomain.com/member_page...259701&page=13.

I have that on my 95 (along with heated seats and heated mirrors). I think you needed the cold weather package or convenience package or something like that

Yeah I haven't done it yet either. I think I will at some point though. I hate when I run out in the winter.

OT reply, but damn, you're the original owner?? Flippin impressive. I'm only the second owner of mine, but I'd love to have owned mine from day one and know that the car has no secret past.... god only knows what the history of a used car actually consists of. Anyway, back to your fluid light issue.... That was really all I had to say.

I'd do it, esp. since I live in MI and we tend to get quite a bit of snow here and that we have the wiring for the light & sensor.... count me in

it doesnt light up when you turn the key to the ignition, but you have it there. it only comes on when it runs low or in your case its just not hooked up.i think its the second light from the right side of the dash.
