Instead of the white - why dont you paint it the same color as your car? or some other effect that matches with your car color. But good job anyways
thanks bro, anything is better then stock!
why 97-99 owners wouldnt even know, we have the crappiest looking tail light options so i decided to make my own, love em or hate'em what did u do for your max today hmmmmmmmmmmmm
doesnt go with the pebble beige, would work better n a white car or a black car MAYBE.
thus i said luv em or hate em, what have you done for your max lately....
i tried something different that i like. so
if u had a 95 u would try anything to get rid of your oem tails.

u think black would look better
pebble beige is a tough color to match with, black would look even worse. just red them out or something.
how bout all clear
taking the clear lens from an alteeza and putting it on the stock tail light housing
how bout thatSenior Member
Less hideous???
I give you props for trying. IMHO, if I had the time you do, I'd red-out the amber part and tint the whole lense.
BTW, how do you plan on having turn signals and back up light. They are all a must if you want to stay street legal.

Once I get my all-clear lense (4-pieces), I'm going to do testor-red on the bottom and DTM the backup and top lenses. The outcome is the pic you see below.

That's obviously BS since it looks like turds compared to the ugly amber. WTH were you thinking? Can you even see if your blinkers work or are you one of those morons who never uses the blinkers?Originally Posted by DRIFFT MAX

personal opinion: doesnt match your car at all. but atleast someone is trying new things. someone has to run into something good sooner or later.
reverse lights not yet, turn signals i located the bulb down with the bottom half so that does work. i thank you very much for your concern. i always back into spots so i never have to back out.

wow bro lay off the haterade man. its called experimenting with it, i dont see you trying to make an alternative to the amber.Originally Posted by DAVE Sz

if it came to it i would nite shade the top half of the OEM lenses. it wil wtill blink orange and do it alttle lighter in some places over the reverse so light gets through cause our back up lights are worthless..Originally Posted by DRIFFT MAX

Just for your info, the top bulb is a single filament that will only light up and blink when you activate the blinker switch. The bottom lamp is a dual filament and will only work when braking and when your park lamps are on. Moving the top bulb below only gives you turn signals, what happens to the stop and park signals? Ok I can see that the inner lights will have to do that job but that just looks plain ooogly still despite the fact that you are trying to get rid of the "ugly" amber. Changing an ugly thing with another ugly mod doesn't make it nice.
That is constructive criticism, and by no means a hate.

no , i didnt get rid of any, i located the turn signal bulb next to the dual filament bulb parallel yet facing different directions, it works fine and looks good.
read the whole thread man, I HAVE BLINKERS THAT WORK!!!!! THE REVERSE LIGHT ISNT THAT BRIGHT ANYMORE IT CAN STILL BE SEEN BUT NOT AS WELL.

That's cause you're new and don't know ****. Whatever you try has been triied, and if it hasn't it's because it might look as bad as what you didd.Originally Posted by DRIFFT MAX

I had wondered about that white look once. I'm happy that you tried it. Now I know it does not look good.
The beige photoshop looks a little better though. I can see that being a legitimate option if you can match the colors right and have lights that work legally.

yeah thats a temp option im taking the euro tails and paint the surrounding of it my car color, and leaving the circles red and white with no lens on it

! I'd rather have this then:
