The Best or 2 best reasons to own a 4th gen max

To help lighten the mood after the post of what you DON'T like, this is what you do like about owning your 4th gen.

My reasons:

-This whole max.org community.....its seriously awesome

and

-Grocery getter surprise....I love when ppl drop their jaws when the stoplights turn green =)

No rattles compared to another car I had, and 226k and still smooth, can't beat that.

ummm i think its cause it has 4 doors, that might be the only reason i would say to buy one.

the squeak, rattle, aint that fast or ride that well. and things break alot.

but as a stock car im sure some old peopel like it as is.

wow, you really hate your car^^^^

anyway, I think it has great pull in the lower gears, and besides my tranny and knock sensor, and clutch (which is normal), my car is pretty well built. It's comfortable to cruise in, and just as comfortable to push hard. Smooth looks too. Always starts for me, even when my families Toyota's struggled.

edit: referring to liquid

Power and Style.

style: that maxs looks get better in almost any circumstance, I just parked to come to the computer labs and I had to park on the bridge show rooms style and she just looks soo beautiful, even with stock sawbladdes, and no drop.

I like a lot the body style, roomy interior and decent power; but I really hate the low MPG and the overprice full cover insurance costs.

I like the VQ30DE and the fact that its a sleeper.

liqidvenom why do say its slow? What are you comparing it to??? I think it's the best and fastest 4 door car for the $ unless you want to buy something brand new.

Bi-xenon Projectors...

Wait we're talking about stock features.... well then i'd have to say:

1) Reliability
2) VQ30DE

Reliability and efficiency (knocks on wood). The Max gets a lot better fuel mileage than my truck did. Plus insurance on a Coupe would really kill me...(even though its not cheap with the Max)

VQ30DE kicks *** in low gears and sounds like a monster (with exhaust modified),and the looks of it,the size, comfort and style..damn there are so many reasons..even the price I paid for mine..98 SE for 8900$ CDN,howza!
I don't complain about the MPG,if I want high MPG,I'll buy a wimpy echo,damn.

What's not to like? i get hella bang for my buck. i got leather seats that are comfy as sin, the backseats are a freakin couch. the trunk space is awesome. even a stock stance it looks mean. it rides like a dream boat, and handles better. the power is hard to complain about, and MPG is awesome for a powerful sedan. stock bose stereo sounds like after market when it works. and like everyone else said its reliable- and i think the best one is it's not a HONDA!

guess i overpaid for mine =( but, i think its still worth it. even though little things are starting to break, its to be expected for a 9yr old car with 173k. My reasons are, in no particular order:
1) reliability
2) styling <3
3) decent power
4) awesome community <3
5) nice sleeper/DD all in one

Like everyone said, it's a great sleeper. And it's the best V6 out there.

I love my Maxima....I just think it,s a HOT looking four door. and it's a ton of fun to fix up. It has all the get up and go I need. Any more and I'd get in trouble. I like it when the outside rear and inside rear mirrors shake when I crank up the Bose. And it has a real spare tire. The body style is classic, much better and sexier than the 5th or 6th generation. It's not perfect but I haven't driven a car that is....I'm very happy with my 96 GLE.

1. styling (probably the best looking car you could buy for under 8000 that still runs)

2. big back seat

Looks, power, reliability, lots of aftermarket stuff. I have a GXE "sleeper", some suspension mods and just the basic intake/exhaust mods, but it is quick, handles well (and rides well if I don't put 35 PSI in tires). I've had 25 cars and it's my favorite, even beating out my 89 sleeper LX 5.0 Coupe, which was faster but the seats killed your back (and the paint s*cked, peeling off of the roof after about 2 years).
