dimmer switch a constant?

dimmer switch a constant?

is the dimmer switch a constant 12v source? and if it's not, what is right around that spot that i can splice into

When you say constant, do you mean without the key, or the key in the Acc. pos.? When?

The dimmer only give you power when the lights are turned on?

i mean always on, key in and key out, whenthe car is off, it's always on

the only one that i know of for sure is behind the radio, other than that you are better of running a fused wire from the battery.

There's a wire that goes to the radio that always has 12v which is how the radio remembers the stations.

The hazard flasher might also have 12v source since you can use it anytime as well.

basically i switched my gauges from a 96 to 99 digital, i now need to run my trip to a constant to keep the mileage so it doesnt reset everytime i turn off the car

not to steal ur thread, but does anyone kno if i hooked up something i want to turn on wen the headlight are on then the dimmer would b a good place to do so?????i hope that made sense lol
