Engine Misfire

I changed my spark plugs today as well as the PCV valve. After I finished, I drove my car to get it washed. Everything was fine for the first half mile or so and then when I came to a stop light, my engine was idling really roughly and my RPM's were only at about 500 (usually 750-800) and the engine sounded like it was about to stall. My CEL came on shortly thereafter and gave me code 0605, Cylinder 4 Misfire.

Can anyone help me out with what to do? I'm going to check the spark plug to make sure it seated correctly. The sticky mentions testing the ignition coil but that's it. I don't know why that ignition coil would all of a sudden fail when it worked fine earlier today before I changed spark plugs.

Is there anything else that it might be? Thanks.

Coil pack or an injector. Most likely its the coil pack though. It can come out of nowhere, referring to the misfire.

Not sure, but you might have a plug that isn't gapped properly on that cylinder. Also, it could have just been some bad fuel. My max had the same problem a couple years ago. I would say check the plug gap, check the coils. If nothing seems to be wrong, reset the ecu and see if the code comes up again.

Yup it sounds like a coil pack. And I'm almost positive it the coil pack closet to the throttle plate assm. (Closest to the Brake booseter). If you try to wiggle out the coil without removeing the metal braket that it held down with 2 12mm bolts you can crack the coil internaly.

I removed all that stuff above that coil pack before I removed the coil pack and plug. If the coil pack is dead it isn't from any impact.

Anyone know which one is Cylinder 4?

Well, the good news is that I figured out which cyliner number 4 is. The bad news is that when I went to investigate, I found that when tightening the new spark plug for Cylinder 4, it broke off in the hole.

I don't understand it. I was using a torque wrench set to spec and used the same methodology for all six plugs yet number 4 is the only one that breaks.

Any advice?
