First Post

just picked up a fully loaded 98 SE 5-SPD today, so i joined the ORG...

So far theres only one thing wrong with it, the CD player plays real cd's, but not burned CD-R's. It's just a minor issue but i was wondering if ne1 had ne idea why it does that.

Bose players can be troublesome. My volume **** doesn't always work right. Did you try different burned CDs? Sounds like you found a nice Maxima, especially with the 5 speed. Welcome.

Not all CD players can play all CD-R's. Try a different color CD-R or brand.

I've played CD-R's on my Bose without any problems.

ive tried several brands, and it says "CD Err" when it tries to play them....

also what do i need to do to take off the cheap looking aftermarket wood trim that the previous owner had on it, so that i dont leave glue stains all over my interior.

thanks everyone

Well the Bose is a moody headunit. Maybe it just doesn't like CD-R's and never will. It may also hate napster and limewire.

As for the wood trim, try a hairdryer and goo-gone.
