Car broken into tonite!

So I'm getting off of work at 2am and I'm walking back to my car in the rain to see my sunroof is shattered!!! Someone tried to jack my car. The ignition switch was completely shredded and my seats were covered in water and glass. i think they tried to use a power drill or something to get the car started. Luckily they were not able to jack the car or steal anything from it... i had about $150 worth of tools in the trunk!!!!! Other than that they did not vandalize anything.......THANK GOD!!!!!! Will post pics tommorrow.

That's why I'm happy to live in such a ***** *** neighbourhood. NOTHING ever happens except teenagers randomly setting mailboxes on fire.

that sucks sorry to hear that.... no one tried to take my max or anything in it, but some retard did try to steal my accord and got it started and everything.... and then the alarm went off when it sensed electric current and scared the *** clown off..... stupid freakshows, i live 2 blocks from the police station... the worst part was that they had a master set of keys (like the ones that tow truck drivers have) so all this kid did was unlock the door and get in and start it like it was his.... needless to say, the next day i had the starter disabler hooked up....

I took pics but will post them later sometime today when I have time.. been on the phone all day with insurance adjusters and local shops to see how much it'll cost to fix.....i also had my IPOD under my driver seat. I was shocked to find it this morning!!!! The bastards that did this obviously were rookies cuz they had no clue on how to get to the wires in the steering column. all I see are drill marks and a torn ignition ring. I also cant find the actual ignition..... probably kept it as a souvenir.

They could have kept your ignition to get keys made, so next time they come around they will have the key ready.

somebody tried to jack me about a week after i got the max. they broke the window but must have gotten spooked because that's all that happened. i ordered a viper 791 through dealer accomodations (the shop i work for is a dei deailer), but it hadn't come in yet. two days after the attempted theft my viper came in. i installed it the same day, then that same night those *********** came back and tried again, but the responder remote tipped me off, and i ran downstairs with a knife and they ran like *****es. never attempted to come after my car again. now i live in a nice hood and there ain't nothin goin on but the mortgage...

Kinda funny if you can picture somebody trying to wedge themselves through the sunroof without getting cut.

Don't you think somebody would notice this and say something?

No the car wouldn't start at all. .....i haven't tried to start it with a screwdrive, dont want to void my chances of my insurance covering it. I looked again for the ignition but they must have taken it.....When I get a hold of the mechanic on monday i'm going to request to get all my locks changed if thats possible. And I also plan to buy a viper alarm system with pager remote... which system would you guys recommend?

I'd get the Clifford Matrix RSX 3.5, the Viper 791XV <-- same alarms, different remote...

There cheap now, maybe installed for $300? Im not sure.

Ask around...

If you on a budget i'd get a Autopage RS850LCD, cool looking alarm, I was gonna get that but ended up with the Clifford...

If your a big money baller, get the Clifford Avantguard G5.

Let's just say this kid will never walk straight again with that metal rod in his leg! Check to see if there is a camera in the area!!!!!
