LED Question

Hey im installing some new blue LEDs in the dash and other places....Will using the dimmer for the dash LEDs screw them up?

use each LED with a 470 ohm resistor rating at 1/2 watt and you should be fine

you should be fine i've dimmed my dash leds on occasion and its never hurt them

You can (if you want) buy a potentiometer at any eletrical parts store. This is what your dimmer switch is. You can get various ratings; even some that, when turned all the way up, will not burn your LED's--all without adding additional resistors to the LEDs themselves because the potentiometer is, in essence, a variable resistor. This is what your "dimmer" and "volume" buttons are: potentiometers. All you would do is connect one leg of the potentiometer to a constant 12V, and the other(s) to the LED.

yeai have all of ine hooked up to the dimmer and i have no problems at all.
