Question about replacing shocks and struts.

I need to have my shocks and struts replaced and was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback as to the degree of difficulty in doing so. Also, if anyone knows of a website with a how to and parts/tools list I would be grateful.

Thanks in advance,

Odatria

its not that hard. its time consuming thats all. youll need a jack, jack stands, ratchet wrench, breaker bar, wd 40, and spring compressor. air tools are a big plus if you have em. check vqpower.com in the DIY section for installation. or the stickied 4th gen FAQs up top. its a pretty straight foward swap.

yup, definately a d-i-y job. just take your time and along with the tools listed above, the best tool you can have is another person who is somewhat mechanically inclined to help you out. just make sure that you have a good amount of time set aside. whatever you think it's gonna take, multiply it by 2 since it's the first time. after that you should be able to do it rather quickly. good luck!!

Ya, its easy. Just put em' in the right way. You can borrow a spring compressor from Autozone for free.

MAKE SURE TO GET AN ALIGNMENT! =)

I ruined a pair of Potenza RE070's after doing this (oooops). Almost $400 down the shoots...
