We just bought a 95 Maxima and it came with a factory installed alarm. The darn thing has gone off and we have no idea how to get it shut up!!! We've had to take out the battery to get it to stop while we can figure this out. Does anyone know how to turn it off?

My friend has a '94 and he suggested we lock the doors and unlock the driver's side with the key. Didn't work.

Any suggestions would be great.

lock all the doors, and close them. take the key and turn it back and forth like 2-3 times int he drivers side door...it should shut off. i had this problem recently too. make sure you turn the key all the way in each direction too. dont just stick it in, and turn to lock position...turn to lock, then all the way back to unlock, and repeat.

 

Where is the remote for the alarm? You can shut the siren up with the unlock button in the remote.

 

i can shut it off my just pressing lock
