Limited Slip Differential?
Limited Slip Differential?
I'm replacing my cv boot(s)/half axle(s). I checked Advance Auto Parts and they want 50-something for n0n-limited slip and 90-something for limited slip half axle. Based on my holeshots, I'd say I have limited slip. Is there any way to know for sure?
Thanks.
Thanks.
It is possible to break loose both wheels with an open differential. I have done it many times.
The way to determine what you have is to look at the transmission code on the firewall nameplate on the passenger side. If it ends with A you have an open diff. If it ends with V you have a limited slip.

I30's and Canadian spec maximas are supposed to have LSD. I know mine has (1995 max). On the lift I turned one wheel and the other followed.
