throttle body cleaning newbie questions

this walkthrough makes it seem pretty easy to do, but ive never realy worked on my car before. let alone any car by myself. i just wanted to ask if this is a pretty simple thing for a newbie to do and how long it should take me. i just want to do it myself u know
also in the walkthrough it explains that i should have the throttle wide open when cleaning it, do i just move it directly? or push the gas pedal? it doesnt realy say, assuming that i would know. im guessing that i should try not to make a mess by pushing the dirt and oils up past the insides when im cleaning. i kindof need a dummy walkthrough
thanks

He already did check motorvate.

Reserve 2 hours. You can flip the throttle butterfly valve wide open by turning the pivot wheel where the gas cable attaches to on the throttle body. It is spring loaded, so you'l have to keep it open with some clamp, or by wedging a screwdriver in the wheel.

Its simple. I did it myself in like 30-35minutes.(took so long cause i really really cleaned it good). You could open the butterfly by pulling the spring loaded thing up with one hand while cleaning it with the other. Its not hard at all. I suggest you buy a Haynes manual if possible. Good Luck newbie(I am one too).

Its definitely not a hard thing to do. I would say one hour is a very generous amount of time. If you can unscrew a few screws and bolts, you should have no problem cleaning the throtte body.
