stinky *** heater!

this may be a common problem or not, but my heater stinks. i would say it smells like burnt rubber or like something is burning. it's not always, only when i have my heater on for 15-20 min. then its almost rancid. so if anyone knows what is causing the problem and how i can fix it, it would be appreciated.

you need to wash that area of your's more often.... something is cooking j/k

on a serious note, 15-20 minute means enough time to warm up things completly, therefore something is being exposed to heat which causes it to melt and thats the burning smell u are noticing. i suggest u look for any loose wires, plastic or anything made out of plastic that could poetntialy cause this smell. this is only a guess tho.........
