New pics of my maxima up at cardomain

http://www.cardomain.com/id/bct1192

tell me what you think. I think my other thread got deleted because I talked about a volvo. Anyway, I've had the car for about 9 months. I had a lot of plans for it, but then I realized the car is just too slow, so I'm going to sell it if a deal for another car comes through. I really like the max in all other respects but it just costs too much make it go fast. I just wanted to post pics of it because I've been around here for a while and gotten a lot of help and I want to show everyone what I have done before I left the forums for good.

Hey, I've got a honda page too. I long since sold it but it was pretty tight...back when Civics were THE ISH pre-Fast & Furious.

Holy **** man! I must admit, the Evo wheels look pretty bad a$$ on a Maxima. Anyone know the specs of Evo 17" wheels? Size? Weight? It looks so good that I'm actually considering buying them now.

I can probably get the cheap off ebay since a lot of Evo guys mod their evos and get different rims. Where did you get yours bct1192?

I did. If you read the page, the steering wheel was rewraped in black leather. I did it myself. It looks a lot better now. That pic is old.

Yea, one of the reasons I went with them is that no one else had them. They are 17x8 with 235/45 tires. Not sure how much they weight. I bought them off a guy with an evo that replaced his rims. The real problem is that the lug nuts they use are not standard acorn nuts. They are oe mag which are standard on lexus and toyota. The problem is the lexus toyota lug nuts are 12x1.5 thread and our cars are 12x1.25 thread. I had to look long and hard to find OE Mag lug nuts that were 12x1.25 because it is not a standard of any of the manufactures. Just keep that in mind if you decide to buy the wheels. I acutally would consider selling mine with the nuts if the price is right, but the problem is I am in nor cal right now, and my stock wheels are in so cal. Most likely I am just going to sell them on the car.

not sure what the color code is but it's a stock color. the car hasn't been repainted. The deal for the other car fell through, so it looks like I will be keeping the max for a little longer.

Hey bct1192 whats the chance u can give me the demensions on that 5/8's MDF board u used for in your trunk?
I have the same problem. The rug is all un-even and I wanted to do that so my subs could sit flat.
Thanks

I don't know the dimensions, basically what i did was cut a piece that was a little to big to fit in the trunk, and then i cut it smaller until it just barely fit. It is not a perfect square either, I make it fit snug with the wheelwells, so it is narrower in the back than in the front. It is better to cut it and try to place it in the trunk this way, because if you cut it to the size you want right from the start, chances are it will be a little too small and move around.

for the trunk floor, take your carpet peice out and trace around it...go inside the traced line about 1/8"-1/4" and id advise to adding the same feature i did.

makes it easier to get the piece out.

btw, car looks cool, rims are nice
