Ok guys I got the basic non-SC'd Maxima. I need a new clutch soon (mine slips when I first start it (cold) for a couple shifts). I'm also going to do flywheel while I'm at it. Who recommends Stillen, who recommends Unorthodox for the flywheel? Any reasons why? Also, what about clutches, I might go FI one day, so I want a stronger one. Stillen has two clutches, and I thought ACT makes one. Please let me know guys.

What ever you do don't get a Centerforce Clutch because they suck! I would go with a ACT Clutch first and my next choice would be a JWT Clutch. www.ptuning.com sells a Muellar Aluminum Flywheel and a assortment of Clutches.

Thanks Emax, what do you think of Stillen's clutches. If they have a deal at the open house this weekend I may pick one up. How confident are you about those flywheels at PTtuning? Which flywheels do you run? I was thinking Stillen or Unorthodox (whichever I find a better deal on).

Emax on the Ptuning.com site they say that flywheel weighs 5lbs on the description. Doesn't that seem a bit light for a flywheel. At that weight I'd be concerned about strength, holding revs, going up hills, etc..

That's WAY TO LIGHT! Engine might backfire w/ only 5lbs. About 10lbs is the lightest you want to go for the street. It's probably a typo. If not stay away from it.

I went with a Stage III Centerforce Clutch and a Stillen Alluminum Flywheel. The centerforce Clutch sliped from day one{I broke it in good too} and on day 15 it got destroyed. I have a Centerforce Clutch on my 95 max and it can easily handle the power of that car. So bottum line is if you are pushing{OR PLAN TOO} simalar HP #'s to me{300+} then don't get a Centerforce Clutch.

About the Flywheel at Ptuning, I don't know anything about them to be honest with you. I do know the Stillen Flywheel I have weighs about 13 LB'S.

Hay what up dude, I just got off the phone from ordering a ACT Street Clutch!! It is on back order until Wednesday though, so I am having it overnighted and should get it on Thur-Sat if all goes well. Then I will have it put in probably next Monday, I can't wait to get the car running again.

Clutch question

Emax, I'm probably getting a new clutch soon too. I don't plan on doing anymore HP mods to my car...so would a Centerforce 1 be good for me?????

Thanks

I am not really sure since I have never used a Stage I, it may be ok but at the same time why risk it? Get a brand known to work like ACT or even JWT.
