I've had one of those car calculators for a while now, and I decided to search around the board and figure out roughly how much power my Maxima was making. I found all the people who had the same mods as me, or at least very similar and came up with: 175 WHP, and 194 WHP to be common power for a 5spd.

I took that into consideration and added 20% for drivetrain loss (common front wheel drive percentage is 18-22%). I lowered my car the adequate amount and changed coef of drag from .320 to .300 (lowering = less drag). I also made the peak horsepower and peak torque come in a little later; breathing mods make this happen. The base curb weight for a 5spd Maxima SE is 3030. Now I have power seats, a box, and a 140 lbs driver. I made it 3,200 which might be a bit too light still, but here's the data anyways:

Sorry the results are blurry, I had to get it under 50K.

Anyways, I think it's relatively accurate, but I know the top speed is higher because a stock 95 tested 144, and I've had mine well passed 140, like closer to where 150 would be (even though error is present that high). The first time at the track at Pomona I ran a 14.9, second time I ran a 14.7 (extremely cold that day, fresh oil change). So all in all it seems quite accurate. It has a database of small cars and almost everyone is right on the money.

Well I'm bored and thought someone would find this interesting.

Cool stuff! 2 questions.

1. What does the 175 WHP and 194 WHP refer to?? I know the abbrev. is wheel HP, but what's the difference between the 2 numbers?? Auto compared to manual?

2. Where'd you get this car calculator from??
