Is It The Clutch?
hey its chris, i am about to make a 4000 mile road trip in a couple weeks from tampa, fl to tacoma/seattle, wa going from I-10 all the way across and I-5 all the way up. anyways, my clutch when i put it in like 1st or 2nd gear, it hops once or twice and sometimes when i get to 3K rpms it will slow down until i hit the gas hard and then will pick up. is it the clutch or have i messed something up? could it just be that i need to flush the tranny fluid because the car sat for a year when i was in iraq? give me some pointers of what i need to do or if you know what it could be.
thanks,
chris
thanks,

Does NOT sound like a clutch issue. I would reccommend cleaning out the throttle body and doing a swap on tranny fluid and change your regular oil if you are preparing to drive 4000 mi. Double check your brake fluid / clutch fluid / power steering juice...etc......

when my clutch was on its way out, it bogged for me at 3000 RPM, it would go up and down then eventually accelerate, i thought it was the plugs. then i thought i twas the intake cone being dirty. then i swapped out the coil packs. then it wound up being the clutch. im still not that clear on his symptoms.

thanks guys, i am going to do the tranny flush and i did the oil and spark plugs already and if nothing happens, i will do the whole clutch thing, where is a good clutch place online, i drive my car kinda hard so i need a good clutch, i just put the exedy in a year and a half ago but it sat for a year so that could have been the problem
