I use AutoLoc and Viper 791xv.

Can anyone answer this Q?
If I'm planning to leave the car for a week or so, is it a good idea to take out some of the fuses that are located by your right knee when you're sitting down?

That way the car can't be started. If you remove, for example, the fuse for the fuel pump and then de-pressurize the system, the car can't be started, and a thief may be fooled into thinking the car won't work. However, attempting to start the car while the system is in this state may strain your car's components.

i have the stock alarm.. so that doesn't really help ...btw .where are you leaving your car....and for how long.....depending on how long u leave yoru car for i would personally
put on the club or brake lock....(that thing that locks the brake or gas pedal) and take out the fuse to the fuel pump....and just don't take out the fuse for the lights...LOL...

club is useless. if a thief really wants the car, then he can get around the club very easily. the best thing would be the one that goes on the brake or gas. otherwise, pulling the fuel pump fuse is a good idea.

actually if your gonna leave it near home and you have the time and feel up to it taking out the battery might not be too bad of an idea, if not take the fuel pump fuse out and mabye pull off the negative terminal of the battery

Don't use the club unless you wanna buy a new steering wheel. Which will be costly because of the air bag. Make sure you take everything out of the car so they won't see something they like.

I have a Omega MAX-E which has everything someone would need.

Dont waist lots of money on an alarm, adding a shock sensor to the factory alarm will do the same thing and it costs about 10$.

I use this and the cluch lock thing to.

On my old maxima i also had a hiden switch put in series with the fuel pump power wire (can also use ignition wire) this is full proof, just can become a p.I.T.A ater time.

In the end most thieves can get around all this stuff, it just can deter them from taking your car and they would rather steal something else....

I live in NEWARK NJ.. i dont think there is any place that they steal more cars.. i have a Pretige pager alarm(which like any other alarm can be beat in seconds)... get the auto lock pro and put it on your clutch tightly.. you can get a steering wheel club and put it with the long part facing your bottom right and tuck it under the E brake.. lower the ebrake slightly so that its tight against the club(make sure not to lower it too much or the car will roll... lol..) when you go away, get a spare (fuel pump fuse) BLOW it on purpose, remove the good fuse and put the blown one in the slot.. Thieves are not stupid and the first thing they will look at is the fuse box.. They will see that there is a fuse in there and will attempt to find other reasons as to why it wont start.. To make a long story short, he will either strip the car wherever it is, have it towed and then stripped somewhere else, or option C which is probably the best, leave your car alone and go somewhere else.. only thing you would probably have to do is buy a new window and a new ignition.. lol.. if you have questions feel free to ask. Thanks

What did that cost installed? I don't really need remote start (especially given the concensus that it's bad to let the car idle).

Another thing: You guys with DEI products...can you still unlock the car with the key? It may seem like a little thing, but it really annoys me when cars start going off because you didn't use the remote. Also, what if the batteries die...is the car basically inoperable until you replace them or can you just use the key?
