what is this?

Hey folks,

A few weeks ago my girlfriends "mechanic" came over to "fix" my car. Well, he did much more damage than good. There is a wire/plug hanging and I can't find where it goes. Its driving me crazy. I have searched the internet for wiring diagrams but can't find them. I have tried to use my hayne's repair manual...but no luck. My check engine light is also broken so I can't use that..this car is a pain. Take a look and let me know. Thanks
Kurt

I think that one just hangs there. I will take a smoke break and go look in a little bit. I do have a pop charger so my set up is not stock.

that should be plugged in, not sure where but if you can look around for another red conenctor you've found where it goes.

try taking your car to an auto store to pull codes that could help narrow it down.

hey if it is taped.... and looks like it's from the factory... it is probably just an option you don't have like fogs.... they put the wire there but just tape it to another wire.... i'll still check and see.

Thanks for lookig guys. I have looked for the other plug to plug it in but I can't find it. I looked at someone elses Maxima and it looked like there was a wire that went under the engine somewhere. This person didn't know I was looking at his car so I didn't get a real good look. I'm glad to hear that someone else has the same problem.
