Red/clear tails from cm question.....

Hi boys, it was nice out yesterday, so I decided to put my red/clear tails on from cm. The first thing I notice is the fit to the body isn't tight as the factory, and the 2nd thing I notice that at 5:30am this morning I notice that the little side marker in the clear part reflects a redish/pink color through the turn signal part..... Is this normal? I never even knew there was a bulb there because both bulbs in the factory tail were burnt out. And that black sh** they send is supposed to seal it? Maybe that's why it's not fitting tight to the body. There's a tiny gap, not big, just don't want water getting in there.
What do you boys think??

Just remember those CM tail lights are made in Taiwan... which = cheapo quality. Its not going to fit like an OEM tail light. I installed CM ones on a friends Max and know exactly what your talking about. Its not a big deal though. As for the corner light, just yank it out, you dont need it. Its going to shine pink because the bulb is red. If you get a good quality bulb, its going to show a little redder. The black roll is silicone which seals the light and prevents water from getting into the trunk.

What I did was bought some red LED's to go in the side markers but wrapped the bulb with black electrical tape so that the light only emits from the top of the bulb. Looks much better now.

Maybe there's a gap in between the brake (red) and the signal (clear) divider.

I have this problem. The brake light leaks slightly into the signal. Not really a big deal, but definetly not perfect. Still better than the homemade blinkers though..

The homemades don't have this prob cause they are still using the stock taillamps. There is nothing you can really do unless you open up the lenses themselves and find where the light is seeping through and seel it up (cheap quality)..BTW i am not running the sidemarker 194 bulb in there so it is 100% coming from the brake lights.
