Any one have any updates on the 96 ECU Upgrades, UPRD or other, preferably with gains. I remember there was a link on MaximaDriver.com for the ECU in mid last year, are they still in production. I should mention this will be for my New (coming soon) 96 Auto (yeah, I know... but I'm in Chicago).

I've tried searching the forum and I see zip, so if anyone could clue me in I would be most obliged. Also, if anyone can tell me the basics involved (I know that UPRD will just take your ECU and mod it, then ship it back). Maybe there are some DIY ECU's out there.

I dont know about any DIY ECU's out there but i know a few companys that mod it for you. UPRD doesnt do the ECU's anymore, G-Force now makes them. Stillen and JWT make ECU's. That is about it as of what i know. I know the UPRD make a really good amount of power, i also know the JWT did a lot as well. Not sure about Stillen. This is as much as i know. I hope i have shed some light for you.

 

Thanks Much! I'll call around once I get a Max, or maybe I'll just email-carpet-bomb all the makers for estimates and specs, with Dyno's.

 

Last year dyno's where done on the G-force chip. Some gains but questions arose as to the real performance. Mine should arrive within a week and I plan on dynoing in Joliet before/after by the end of May. I'll post for everyone.
