any ideas on how i fix my stereo? (CD Player)

my cd player on my 97 SE stopped working about 2 weeks ago. Radio works fine, but every single CD i put in comes up with the error "err cd". Anyone have this problem and how would i go about fixing it? I was going to take out the radio and check the wiring, but i was wondering if maybe i could do something else before i do that.

wow i just had this problem with my pioneer but luckily i got it from best buy and have the service plan so they sent it out to get repairs... i tried things like disconecting the battery to get the cd to reset and had no luck... if disconnecting and connecting doesnt work and its only a factory radio id say go for the upgrade to an aftermarket one... or maybe even dvd

I'm assuming you have the BOSE, since they break frequently with this error, but these links may pertain anyway:

You can pay: http://www.davescoolstuff.com/index.htm, www.carstereohelp.net, etc.

or DIY: http://madchef.5u.com/maxima/bose/bose.html
