yeh more should resolve it or led bulbs off of superbrightleds. oh, u have a 99, that means ur's is #74 i think, which sucks compared to 194s.

Ya, I got the 5 bulb LED and returned them for the single inverted LED. Its not the brightest but they don't leave hot spots.

you either got to put more under there or fill up the rest with a wide angeles LED 194 bulb that screws into the back of the cluster. same thing happened to me when i did mine. i put 8 leds under the speedo and still had some low spots. regular LEDs like that really only emmit light strait forwars, not arround.

I did my LEDs in my gauges and in the hazards/defrost and so far both hazards and defrost blew out slowly... went from bright blue to dark blue.. to green then finally shut off pretty ****ty since I used 100ohm resistors when 80ohm resistors were recommended.

I have the sonic glow kit and i love it.
That Doesnt look bad though, not bad.. youll get it figured out.
Try the wide angled LED's...
Id have done something like that myself but i wanted a contrast.. white face with blue needles.

so for a 97' u wud have to use the #194 bulbs and those are the ones that just screw in the back to the cluster right...no soldering or anything right??

actually, dont the 97-99 clusters use a different bulb? i think only the 95-96 ones had the 194 bulbs.

How exactly did you do that with your needles?... Mine glow out of the needle area and the gauges look blue as well.. Not only that the Odometer is impossible to get an LED under the needle... there's this clear plastic that's in the way and if it wasn't in the way it would be the only place I can stick the LED into without disturbing the motor and its parts. That's exactly what I tried to do but like I said it's not as clean looking as yours.

my mistake. i thought i remember reading on a write up somewhere that you have to use a dremel to make the 194 bulbs fit the cluster.

Well the thing about the LEDs... you gotta get them with the specs showing that they are 194 Wedge LEDs, if they're plain LEDs you're gonna have to solder them or some how wedge the poles to the 194 sockets with the 194 bulbs in em as well...
