Hi, I read before about members stating that the tokiko were the same as Stock SE struts. Can someone confirm if it was true or not? I am debating what I should use with a Set of Intrax Springs. Anyone with suggestions and a answer about the tokiko and SE strut question?

Yes, it is true that Tokico is the manufacturer of the stock SE shocks. However, I believe that the stock SE Tokico's are different than the Tokico HP's.

I recently installed Tokico HP's (with the much needed help of skimax). The rebound and control felt much superior than the stock shocks.

But I am not completely sure if the shocks are different.

Yeah the HP's seem to last a lot longer. Mine have been in for a while and although they're softer than when new, they're definately not blown.

They are different.

Tok makes tons of stock shocks as well as tons of aftermarket upgrades. They are stock on my max, and they are on my moms ES300 too. I'm about to steal hers.

tok and SE struts

Guys, thanks for the response. So the stock SE would be cheaper than the tokiko hp's right? someone on ebay is selling them for 280 for a set. would the stocks be cheaper? also I read on maximadriver.com that the tokiko's gave a harsh ride after 10k on them. any other suggestions?

yea, the stock shocks are cheaper than the HP's. you can get them from any Nissan dealer or order them from Courtesy Nissan. $280 doesn't sound bad.

Umm, Nissan charges a premium for stock stuff! Even the tokicos stock SE shocks they are selling costs more than what Tokicos HP are on the market!

You guys don't have adjustable struts to compensate for the reduced travel of lowering springs either?
