How to remove antenna?

My antenna broke and I'd like to remove it, well change it if it's not expensive. If I only remove it, what do I use to fill up the antenna hole?

i just removed mine today. preety simple actually. when you look at teh anteena tip, you see 2 small holes. well you have to trun that piece out counter-clockwise. once you remove that peice, you pull it out and the nremove the 2 bolts that hold the antenna inside the quaretr panel, disconncet the connector and the cable that runs to the deck. you cant fill the antenna hole unless you have a body shop fill it up with Bondo/[lastic filler and then paint over it. so just replace it.

permanent smooth solution--You could form a sheet of steel to fit the holes, weld it in, then smooth, sand, and paint it. Probably best left to a body shop
ugly but cheap--just cover it with duct tape any redneck can show you how
redneck solution-- fill it with bondo. wont last. bondo would never cure if applied that thick + it a big hole and the filler needs some kind of support. a mesh reinforced fiberglass filler might work though.

If you broke the mast only, you can replace it with an OEM part for about $30 or an aftermarket for about $15.

speaking of antennas i saw a guy tonight getting pulled over, probably for the reason that he had at least a 5 foot long (not exaggerating) antenna on the roof of his car. He could prolly pick up signals from other planets it was so big. -just thought id share

channel-locks. grab the antenna nut and twist. needle nose pliers tend to slip and scratch.
