Doing a tune up: Seafoam before or after new plugs?

I am going to be doing a little work on my car today, including changing plugs, new fuel filter, cleaning of the throttle body, and I am going to try the Seafoam.

Should I burn all the crap out of my engine with the seafoam first, then put in fresh new parts? or should I put in the new plugs, then run the seafoam through it?

I have a strange feeling it either doesn't matter, or that I should use the seafoam first.

Opinions welcome, this is my first time w/ the seafoam.

Thanks in advance

I've heard that you're supposted to do it before the oil change and probobly before the spark plug change. I would think you would need to drive it around about 100-500 miles with the seafoam in there to do any good. This is what I've heard though.

I think you might be misunderstanding what I am using the seafoam for.

I am going to be using it to clean my Intake manifold and carbon deposits from the engine, as outlined in this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hlight=seafoam

OH, I would still do that before the tuneup. I wouldn't want any S#*@ getting on the new plugs. Plus doing the seafoam before the tuneup you'll notice whether it helped performance or not, because after new oil, plugs, filters, ect., there will be better performance anyway and you won't know what helped your engine run better.

Maybe you can put that Auto-Rx stuff before tune-up for better results

Just FYI, Seafoam will in no way shape or form clean the carbon deposits out of your intake manifold. Then only way to do that is to remove it and clean that **** by hand or take it do the dealership and let them soak it in their hot tank.
