Fuel pump maybe?

I've noticed every once in a while when i shut my car off, i can hear this bad grinding noise coming from underneath the car for almost a minute, where the fuel pump would be. surprisingly i don't hear it as much in the car even though the fuel pump is right underneath the backseat. would this sound most likely be the fuel pump about to crap out on me, or something else? it just concerns me since the fuel pump is such a major part of the car, i don't need it to go out on me on my way to work or something.

Car off, fuel pump is off. It's not the fuel pump making noise.
