My car has been acting wierd lately...wen ever i let go of my brake the car dosent move at all until i press the accelerator n car is on D on a flat suface...next thing happens is tht it doent go over 2000 rpm wen im floorin it or doent not go on two second gear n i chked it noe MAF sensor tt causin this, but wen i put the car on parking n press the accelerator it is normal(rpm increasin as i press the accel.)but i had this TPS Code showin wen i chked the ECU codes but it has been there for a long time now.
Ne body noe wats goin on...

my car has automatic transmission..n now wen i tried changing the first two gears manully it wasnt smooth n it skips the second gear n goes onto third..ne clue wats happening?

 

if you cant go past 2000rpm then replace your MAF now.

 

now thts not the problem ne more its the gears not changin rite the way they suppose to..n this jus started to happen this morning..its not goin on to the second gear at all..n something is rong with first.

 

you need to put it in D and see if you go through 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th

i tried doin tht too but the same thing happens...as soon as i put it on D the car should move rite? it doent until i press the accelerator to 1500 rpm n it not going smooth as rpm increase..it skips thorugh second gear goes directly to third.

 

no, it sounds like you are starting in third gear if you have to get it to 1.5K before it moves

if you were in first gear the car would roll at idle ~600rpm

have you pulled any codes? car could be in safe mode, hopefully tranny isn't shot

 

yea i pulled the TPS(throttlebody positioning sensor) but its been thier for a long time now...i think the car is starting in third gear it doesnt move wen its on idle at 600.

 

disconnect your battery and re-connect and see if that corrects anything

it may be your TPS finally catching up to you....if its not able to tell how open your throttlebody is that would definitely affect engine performance...and the tranny could just be in 3rd gear as a preventative measure

never run into this problem.....this is just my reasoning
