How much to install springs and struts?

What is a reasonable price for labor on springs and struts? I plan on doing this tomorrow, but don't wanna spend alot of money since i'm already pushing $500 on parts.

I was quoted $450 at a shop I trust but decided to do it myself. Do it yourself and ensure that it is done right, after the first stut is removed your confidence will soar! Get the rear end lowering mounting kit b4 you start.

Wow! You want to ofeer $60 bucks for replacing 4 struts/shocks and springs? Good luck finding anyone who do this for this money. Do it yourself and when you finish imagine you done this for somebody else and you just earned $60. I wanna see your face then.
Good luck.

They won't do it anymore. I was curious too, as to how much it costs at a shop, so I asked them while getting my exhaust done, and they said since they are now part of some national franchise thing, they won't do suspensions that drop you below your stock config.

I own a shop in NY, and I charge 60 per strut with alignment +79.00. And like others had said. It really not very hard. I'm sure if you can get your hands on a spring compressor you can bang it out in about 2 -3 hours. I heard it can be done without a compressor but I'm not sure hows that done. goodluck

Yo no se

How many have done it without a compressor? As I am saving up I'm thinking should I get a compressor and impact wrench or just a good break bar and another set of hands, I'm sure it can be done just as easily without a compressor, but it will take longer and you'll probably sweat more.

You Don't HAVE to have one but you NEED a spring compressor, don't be intimidated, just careful! Rent or buy one and do it; Why would you do it without one, it's mouse nuts with the spring compressor.

I would think it'll be easier for him if someone do a write-up. What type of tools is need, where to get the tools, and a step by step to change the spring and strut. Once, he has the info on paper, he could change the spring or strut with a buddy.

Even tho alot of org member did it before, but they wouldn't provide any tutorial for the newbies. The best way to inform others is to have it on writing and it will pass along.

Good luck on your project, try and search more info online. The more info you get, the better it is for you. The Org forum have a limit amount of resource.
