Knock sensor testing HELP
my 95 maxima won't start, after read the ecu code, it's knock sensor and circuits error.
when I try to check the knock sensor, I found two different guides:
Haynes says: measure the two terminals(pin#1 and #2) of the knock sensor connector;
while here kevlo911 says: measure the Pin #2 and ground (battery negative terminal)
so I did both, the results are:
it is open circuit between two pins
it is close circuit between pin#2 and ground, resistecne is about 810 kohms.
Since the results are different, which opinion is right?

there's no other codes,(0304 repeats)
if ks won't affact start, is there any other way to find out the source other than the ecu codes?
thanks,

the car failed the start in the morning for cold start, actually, some of the cylinders must get fired for half second, then all died out.
btw, when I turned on the ignition key now, it is still cranking.
it is auto T
