Just got my maxima :-)

i think the 1st easy and cheap thing that looks the best are clear corners...work on your lights first. I think Max's look 10x better with them. And as far as other mods...do what you want, not what we have or say. After all, it is YOUR car

Congrats on buying a Max!
Don't get clear corners, they suck. Stay orange, amber = JDM.
I guess it's kinda hard to explain. Clear corners is simply something many on here have to grow out of, like I did.
Also, you don't need that nose in the thread title. Just my $.02

Any exterior mod is purly cosmetic and according to preference. I have a black maxima with clear corners and they also look good on white. Depends on the car's color. Clear corners are super easy to install so it is a nice place to start. Also, congrats on finding a 5 speed, you will thank yourself every time you drive save any traffic jams.

Also, you looking for inexpensive mods? or price not that big a deal? You can do a few things cheap, such as corners, FSTB, intake. good luck with the new ride. You should go to the Connecticut meet on 3/12 and get ideas.

Congrats on the Max,
I'd say do a full clean inside, shine everything up, outside wash and wax.
Do a tune up (depending on milage and last time tune up was performed), then clear corners, and guage lights (194 - $22 shipped for 5 6led blue lights)
I'd say do a full clean inside, shine everything up, outside wash and wax.

Hey, I bought a 98max se 5spd also, only in dec and have just recently joined the org as you can see. I have read the "how to" and there is alot of stuff on it I plan on trying when I get the money. I too suggest the clear corners; yes, almost everyone has them, but it looks sportier. I have also purchased a strut bar, but haven't put it on yet, plus I have a stereo system in construction right now. Just read alot and you can answer alot of you own questions by reading alot of the threads. Do you have any pics of your car? I don't yet bc I just bought a dig camera.
And another thing, don't buy stupid "performance chips" only a resistor from ebay that says "+ 20 horsepower", it is bs.
