Flywheel and power gains

Is a lightened flywheel proven to increase power to the wheels? If so, how large are the gains? I know, I have an auto but I'm curious so humor me.

No, by reducing the rotating mass, you are reducing parasitic loss.
Car will rev quicker, and will feel more powerful, but all you are doing is getting rid of power lost to spinning the heavy flywheel.

Peace,
Kevin

So...

...more power makes it to the wheels.

Isn't that what we are after?

yes you will get more power, becuz its less stress on the motor to work up power to move a stock flywheel then an aftermarket one.
