Fidanza + Exedy (pics)
Well, Dixit and I got that combo in late Friday night. Exedy stage 1 and Fidanza flywheel...all I can say is WOW. So far I've put 100 miles on it, and loved every minute. This combo grips VERY well and satisfies me perfectly. The install was easy...however, the Fidanza was missing 1 bolt hole for the crank sensor to bolt up with....
So we skipped that 1 bolt...no big deal. Through all gears...I can tell it pulls a LOT stronger than stock (and bad stock clutch of course). It feels like a brand new car... -- The pedal is soft, and engages pretty quick with hardly any effort. I need to work on shifting -- less rotational mass of the flywheel makes the RPMs fall a bit quicker than the stock flywheel. Just need to get used to it. I got the combo for $625 shipped from www.clutchexpress.com - Dont try to order over internet...CALL them. Excellent customer support....very fast shipping and great prices.
Time to dyno again
Sorry for the shiitty pics...forgot my real camera.

get an LSD tranny and you will have to change your pants everytime you drive
nice work, i love this setup and would recommend it to anyone
thats weird about the missing bolt....i had no snags on the install and everything was in place.

Yea the bolt hole kinda flustered me, but since all others fit, no biggie.

Out of curiosity, are you driving under any kind of break in period? I'd hate to see $600 wasted because the clutch started slipping prematurally (you know the break-in horror story's). When I was breaking in my clutch set-up, I took it easy for like 500 miles (i.e. under 3000 rpm's everywhere), and then let loose...anyways, I'm glad that you like it!!!

yaya 500 miles, when i got my act i couldnt risist, i pinned it once at 250 and smiled for the rest of the day..
But ya dont beat on it to much....
Looks like a nice setup.
P.S. 3 hours is a awsome time to do a clutch with no lift.

On my old 300ZX I had an ACT Stage 2 clutch on it (rated at like 450hp, though my car was practically stock) that the owner before me put on it, and I loved it. Really stiff clutch pedal, I miss it

BigLou - clutch break in can be discussed in different ways. Im not hard on it. Ive been drving like a granny for the past 200 miles...and Im pretty sure its broken in now. It feels VERY strong and grips perfectly. Yes $600 would be a REAL big hit to waste

Exedy is like that. the pedal will stay soft. Personally i like my pedal semi stiff but some people like their pedal soft so its up to you want you want. i hope you see some improvment on the dyno but i highly doubt it.
